Oh, how I love a styled shoot!

Styled shoots are becoming more and more popular– even in Kamloops!  There are several photographers that set-up themed shoots for their clients using hair stylists, make-up artists, and a series of props.  These shoots are my absolute favourite to be a part of because it allows for beautiful photos to bring out the true personality of the couple in the photographs.  Sit down with your significant other and think about what you two love doing together.  Find simple ways to incorporate that into your shoot with your photographer.  Try rental places like Vintage Origami in Kelowna to get a couch, tandem bike, or small props to really make your shoot standout.  Whatever you do, make sure your photos reflect who you are as a couple!

Heidi & Graham

With Graham being a teacher it made sense for their shoot to have a bunch of books on the tables and Heidi wants to collect series of vintage dishware and other goods so we used teacups.  Their personalities are fun and laid back so we brought them to a local orchard and let them be themselves!

Nicole & Royce

Royce and I love to go for coffee.  Not just any coffee though, we love to sit at Starbucks and just catch up.  We don’t often have time between us both owning our own businesses to go on dates so caffeine and sitting with no distractions is our favourite thing to do.  We brought coffee and cupcakes to our shoot with Kathleen Ferguson Photography where were just ourselves and she snapped away!

Erin & Michael

These two love birds had such a fun, vintage style.  We shot their wedding but they didn’t have the money for engagement photos.  Lucky for all of us, we became good friends after discovering how awesome they are and took them out the following winter to get the engagement photos they never had.  This shoot actually made it into Style Me Pretty Canada on December 23rd as the cute couple decorated Christmas trees and cuddled up under a vintage Bay blanket with an old record player and hot cocoa.
