I’ve decided it’s about time I start blogging about what I’m doing because it’s much more beneficial for my followers to understand how and why I create and plan certain ways than just seeing the final product. Conveniently this new blog happened to start the very week I should be studying for finals… procrastination? I like to think I’m just very dedicated to my followers…
While finishing up my degree in Tourism Management and minor in Business Marketing I’m owning a business and planning weddings and other amazing events and will be posting about them often!
My most recent project is Laveena and Kevin’s September 1st country wedding on their beautiful property in Cherry Creek. Laveena has a true country style while wanting their wedding to be creative and elegant. I put together some ideas a few weeks back to help put the vision together before we start a Ton of DIY projects. We’ve created custom table numbers out of 2×4′s, spray paint, and stencils. We will also be combining soft lighting in their outdoor tent for 160 people, pops of colour of deep purples and an array of greens, and using a lot of twine for hanging lanterns and seating charts.
The most important part of your wedding decor is that it resembles you and your partner to a T. If you’re not a luxurious couple, find cute ways to be elegant but fun at the same time. A wedding planner can easily work with you to make this happen. You want to walk into your reception and have your guests say, “Oh this is so them!”
